Post-Breathwork Self Care
Most importantly, be very kind and gentle with yourself.
You’ve moved a lot of energy and emotions.
You may be feeling incredibly open, or perhaps even raw. Allow yourself to move slowly, to ground and integrate.
-Drink water, stay well hydrated
-Eat warm and mushy foods (roasted root veggies, soup)
-Avoid excess caffeine, alcohol, or any substances that alter your state, as you may be more sensitive after breathwork
-Connect with nature, watch clouds moving, put your fingers in dirt or your body against a tree. If possible, take your shoes and socks off and put your bare feet on the earth.
-Connect with yourself (and others) creatively! Sing songs, play music, paint, draw, create
-Move your body, have a solo dance party, take a walk, roll around on your floor. Try gently moving in ways that feel interesting or even new to you.
-Write your experiences, journal ~ especially helpful if emotions are coming up
-Share and connect with loved ones. Tell them what you’re experiencing.
-A shower or bath may feel extra cleansing.
-Allow yourself plenty of rest and sleep. Naps can be revolutionary.
My support is available after the session if you need. You are not alone.
I offer a complimentary 30 minute integration call which can be scheduled using the link below.
